Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons secretly married in Jamaica

After six years of dating, the famous couple said ‘yes’ at the GoldenEye resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

It may be to avoid the level of exposure; also, so as not to feed the paparazzi; perhaps, as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic; The truth is that in 2022 several couples got married in absolute privacy and away from the flashes to live moment of complete intimacy with friends, family and away from the gaze of others.

On this occasion, those who signed papers were Kirsten Dunst and her boyfriend and the father of her two children, Jesse Plemons, after six years together. A source revealed to Page Six that the couple said “I do” last weekend in Jamaica at the luxury GoldenEye resort in Ocho Rios. A representative for Dunst told the outlet: “I just confirmed that they got married.”

After a long courtship, Kirsten and Jesse are now a married couple, and they are happy about it. According to reports, the actors met in 2015 on the set of Fargo, the famous FX series, and began their romantic relationship in 2016. In addition, the couple has 2 children together, Ennis, 4, and James, 1. But they did not start to date until 2016, after Dunst split from her boyfriend at the time, Garrett Hedlund. Page Six revealed that the couple got engaged during Golden Globes weekend in January 2017.

Their first public appearance was in February 2017, when they walked hand in hand on the red carpet at the Independent Spirit Awards. In August 2019, when Dunst was recognized with the iconic star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the actor told how it was the first time they saw each other at the Los Angeles airport, just before filming Fargo began. “I looked into his eyes and saw the beautiful, sweet, welcoming human being that he is. In an instant he was all born,” he said.

Dunst and Plemons had intended to get married in 2021, however, their plans had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the birth of James. Earlier this year, both actors were nominated for Oscars for their roles in The Power of Dog, in which they once again played newlyweds. Dunst told the LA Times in February that they “call each other husband and wife” but had delayed their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic and having a second child.

“We call ourselves husband and wife. But we have to get married right now. It’s ridiculous. We just haven’t planned a wedding. There was COVID, then we had another child. “I didn’t want to be pregnant, get married, have a party, and not be able to have fun with everyone,” he stated.

In an interview with ET last year, Plemons shared how he and Kirsten became a couple. First of all, when we met, we really clicked with each other creatively and were able to be very honest with each other, and we built trust very quickly where if either of us had an idea, we could throw it away, ego-free. If the other person liked it, great, if not, then it was no big deal. Everything felt really easy.

Dunst told the New York Times about his meeting with Plemons. “We were two people who worked very similarly, and it felt like a kindred spirit.” And he said, “I knew he would be in my life forever.”
