A source has exclusively revealed that Tom Cruise, the 60-year-old “Mission: Impossible” star, has not been a part of his 16-year-old daughter Suri’s life for a considerable period and has not seen her in a long time.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes welcomed Suri in April 2006 during their relationship. However, after the couple’s split in 2011, Cruise and his daughter grew apart.
Cruise himself acknowledged the challenges that arise from divorce, stating that it’s far from an ideal situation during legal proceedings in 2013.
In the same year, during a deposition for a $50 million lawsuit that was ultimately settled, Cruise admitted that his involvement with Scientology played a significant role in his separation from Suri. He confirmed that one of the reasons for Holmes leaving was to protect Suri from Scientology.
In 2016, the Church of Scientology was again blamed for the estrangement between Tom and Suri because church rules prohibited members from associating with non-believers. As neither Suri nor Holmes were Scientologists, Tom reportedly couldn’t maintain a relationship with them.
Former Scientologist Leah Remini suggested that Scientology considered Holmes a “suppressive person,” an “enemy,” and therefore, Tom believed he couldn’t be connected to Suri.
Over the years, Suri has been photographed living a relatively normal life with her mother in New York City, going for walks and spending time with friends.
Holmes has consistently expressed her commitment to giving her daughter a stable childhood, emphasizing the importance of being present in her life.
While the drama with her father persists, Suri continues to grow under the care of her mother, surrounded by love and stability.
